We recommend that you install kb2kskype and its companion program usbb2k_api using the latest available binary package for your Linux distribution. Packages are available from the download area of the project website.
The subsequent sections of this Appendix concern the compilation of the program from source. This is recommended only if you are familiar with the build process (or want to learn about it), and wish to extend or modify the software.
